We identify critical gaps in our overall democratic capacity, taking into account the likely trajectories of AI development and the resulting impacts on democracy and power. We develop strategies for filling those gaps and advise funders, builders, practitioners and researchers on high-leverage field priorities.

Democracy Levels
A framework for evaluating the quality of a democratic system, and the degree to which a decision-making process or system is democratic. It provides a common language for milestones relevant to the goals of the democratic AI, pluralistic AI, participatory AI, and public AI ecosystems.
