Organizational governance
Aligning a company or other organization with a public interest purpose is difficult, and existing mechanisms and legal structures for doing so are imperfect and limited. We are working to develop mechanisms that can be used to robustly align organizations with public interest purposes in the long term.
Case Law for AI
Exploring how “case law” approaches inspired by judicial practices may provide a more effective knowledge representation and participant experience for connecting deliberative public input into AI alignment and inference systems.
Deliberative Safety Specifications
As part of the UK ARIA “Safeguarded AI” program, we design and coordinate the implementation of deliberative processes for defining formal safety specifications for advanced AI systems.
